Launched in April 2011, the 40m S/Y Indo Siren was built on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi and is handcrafted from ironwood and teak (traditional to the area). You will find no other diving liveaboard as beautiful in Indonesian waters, and...
This itinerary takes you to explore the remote Eastern Forgotten Islands around Saumlaki, then we will journey towards Kaimana in Triton Bay following the Banda Arc.
Highlights: Pristine reefs, steep walls, muck diving in Banda with mandarin fish as a bonus. Hammerhead sharks sometimes visit the area, Chinese sea snakes in Manoek. Interesting land excursions: Banda Neira, & Sanggala Bay waterfall. Incredibly diverse and dense colourful soft corals and whalesharks if you're lucky in Triton Bay.
Airport meet and greet, transfer to the port and board the S/Y Indo Siren. After boarding settle into your cabin and assemble your equipment with help from the friendly crew. The boat briefing is followed by dinner and then you're free to enjoy the rest of the evening, while the boat departs for Adunara.
We will schedule up to 4 dives per day as we cruise from Saumlai through the Banda Arc to Kaimana. A typical full diving day is scheduled as follows:
- Light breakfast followed by a briefing & dive 1
- Full breakfast, relaxation followed by briefing & dive 2
- Lunch, relaxation followed by briefing & dive 3
- Snack
- Briefing for sunset or night dive
- Dinner
For your last full day on board, we schedule 2 morning dives to allow plenty of time for off-gassing before disembarkation and your onward flight.
After breakfast, disembark and transfer to Kaimana Airport, or local resort.
